When to use: Topical preparation used in the treatment of wounds and ulcers.

Treatment of:

• Burns
• Post-surgical wounds
• Pressure sores
• Diabetic wounds
• Lower leg ulcers
• Cuts

How to use: Clean the wound with a sterile solution. Apply 2-3 ml of the ointment on the affected area. For optimal results the wound should be closed with a secondary dressing for up to 48 hours.

Warnings: Hypersensitivity to povidone-iodine, honey, or to any of the components of this preparation. Application to large areas of broken skin should be avoided as excessive absorption of iodine may occur. Povidone-iodine should not be used on patients with non-toxic nodular colloid goitre.
